او دو روز پیش در توییتی نوشت: «معادله ساده است: غرب به امید گذار از منابع فسیلی به منابع تجدیدپذیر، و انتقال مزیت در حوزه انرژی از ذخایر به فناوری، سرمایه‌گذاری در تولید نفت را محدود کرد، اما نتوانست انرژی‌های نوین را به قدر کفاف توسعه دهد. به نفت ۱۰۰دلاری سلام کنید!»
